Donna Jennings, MPAS, PA-C and Certified Life and Weight Loss Coach
As a child Donna Jennings, PA-C, would go to medical appointments with her mother, finding medicine and helping people fascinating. However, while in college she took a year out to teach in a missionary school on Ebeye, in the Marshall Islands; followed by a year of (essentially) volunteering at a High School back here in the U.S. She was hooked.
After graduating from Southern Adventist University in 1994 with a bachelor’s in Health, Physical Education and Recreation she began teaching P.E., Health and Drama (a passion since high school). The best part of being “Coach D” was always connecting with, and being there, for students during challenging years. Still, she knew there was more to come.
Being a lifelong learner, and continually evolving, the call to medicine was unmistakable. In practicing medicine, she would continue as an educator, but now Donna would focus on helping others heal. This dream was finally realized when, in 2009, she graduated with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Union College, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Having patients trust her to care for them is a high honor. Her career as a Physician Assistant has including working in Rheumatology, Family Medicine, Hospital Medicine and Acute Care Medicine.
Almost two years ago Donna discovered Life and Weight Loss Coaching. Personally, her life has been transformed. Consequently, she wanted to offer that same kind of transformation to other. Today, she is a Certified Life and Weight Loss Coach. Her first client was herself. She lost and kept off thirty-five pounds and feels great.
When not working Donna is very involved with the Youth in her church. Additionally, she works with others to identify and address needs in our local community. With her husband, David, she has four “fur-babies” out in the country. They love to travel, attend sporting events, watch old movies, play games with friends and family, play the occasional practical joke and try out new restaurants. She wants to get into playing Pickleball.
Donna says, “Everything I have ever done has been preparing me to be right where I am. Now, with the incredible team at Ageless Wellness I get to help patients heal from the inside out, as well as look and feel their best. Bringing wellness to the whole person is a dream come true and consistent with the goal of my life which is: Leave this world better than I found it.”
